Feminism

Across Thailand, many vibrant communities of feminist activists, reformers and educators are active across a range of fields. FES aims to bring them together to share knowledge, build connections and increase their impact. The goal is to strengthen a platform to take gender justice forward through forums and meeting groups, in order to create a common vision for political feminism in Thailand.

FES also works with youth organizations to take feminism beyond politics and academia and into the daily lives of young women and girls, as well as men and boys. There is already a groundswell of activism in this area, mostly around individuals or small groups sharing their experiences and insights of gender issues, women’s rights, or sexuality. To date, this is largely happening on social media. FES and its partners conduct workshops to harness this energy, bringing these individuals and groups together to add their voice to the movement that is bringing gender-aware change to Thai society and politics.
